Silverwood Sandwich tins are all 1.5″ deep with vertical sides. This ensures that the sponge mixture rises to its maximum height giving a desirable deep, feather-light sponge. The vertical sides (as opposed to tapering sides), produce a better looking more classical sponge. The loose base combined with the easy release properties enables simple and speedy (to assist cooling) removal of the cooked sponge with minimum damage to the edges!
